Day 1: Switzerland - Reims
Journey through Alsace with a stop in the city of Nancy. With its combination of Renaissance, Art Nouveau and Art Deco, it inspires delighted amazement. Remarkable sites such as the Musée Lorrain promise a leap back into the past in the old town. Towards evening you arrive in Reims. Dinner in a local restaurant in the city centre. (3 nights at the Best Western Hotel de la Paix****).
Day 2: Hermonville
Today's journey first takes you to a cooperage in Hermonville. As in the past, the wine barrels are made here by coopers using traditional handcraft: from exquisite, carefully selected woods, worked with great calm, experience and a sure touch. Here you will also be treated to a Champagne and cheese tasting. You then travel on to Tours-sur-Marne. At Maison Lamiable you will be initiated into the art of disgorging. Let yourself be surprised and enjoy the tasting. Dinner in a trendy restaurant in Reims.
Day 3: Reims - Mumm - Pommery
The day begins with a guided walking tour of Reims. You will visit the Gothic cathedral with its impressive stained-glass windows, where the kings of France were once crowned. You then set off for a Champagne tasting at Champagne Mumm. Lunch at leisure in Reims and free time at your disposal. In the evening you are expected at the renowned Pommery cellars. Be captivated by an exciting tour, a dinner and, of course, a sparkling Champagne tasting.
Day 4: Reims - Switzerland
Journey home with a lunch stop in Metz. Metz, the garden city par excellence, reveals a cheerful combination of urban greenery and city tourism. Here you will enjoy a final lunch together before the coach takes you back to your boarding points.
