Day 1: Switzerland – Aachen
Journey to Aachen. On arrival, check in to the traditional Parkhotel Quellenhof Aachen, an elegant grand hotel close to the historic old town. In the evening you will enjoy a shared dinner at the hotel and look forward to the coming days in stylish surroundings.
Day 2: Aachen & Opera
In the morning, a guided city tour introduces you to Aachen's history of over 2,000 years and its historic old town. Afterwards there is free time at your leisure. In the late afternoon, a delightful opera aperitif with hot and cold delicacies awaits you at the hotel. You will then be transferred to the theatre to enjoy Mozart's «Don Giovanni».
Day 3: Day trip to Maastricht
Day trip to neighbouring Maastricht. On a guided city tour you will discover the charming old town with the Stokstraat quarter, the old fortifications and the famous Vrijthof. Afterwards you will enjoy a light lunch. Return to Aachen and free evening.
Day 4: Day trip to Liège & Opera
Drive to Liège and city tour, including a visit to the spectacular Liège-Guillemins railway station and the Church of St Barthélemy with its famous baptismal font. After lunch at the restaurant of the Royal Opera, you will experience Donizetti's «Roberto Devereux». Afterwards, return to Aachen.
Day 5: Aachen - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland. Let the musical and cultural experiences of the past few days pass through your mind once more.
